Hello friends of Great Books!
I am so blessed to have gained around 80 new free subscriptions in just the past two weeks! I am excited and I hope that everyone is enjoying access to a growing number of online study guides for Great Books. The online versions of these studies will always be free. Even so, with a paid subscription comes access to even more. You will get access to PDF versions of the study guides which you can download and print more easily in your home or classrooms. These contain additional information not in the online only versions. Additionally STGB is in the process of developing both Student and Teacher editions to provide the maximum help and information possible to equip and encourage teachers and students alike. Several of the student editions are already available at the STGB Teachers page (on the navigational bar of the website) and I hope to add teachers editions as soon as possible (though that process is more arduous because of the amount of information I am packing into them). In addition to downloadable study guides there are also occasional online events, hangouts to talk about a book or learn about classical Christian education, etc., which only paid members can sign up for. Right before Christmas we had two meetings to talk about A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. In March I am looking to do a discussion over Plato’s dialogue with Euthyphro (more details soon).
It is a time of growth for STGB, with nothing but good things ahead, and I want to offer your the opportunity to get involved early on in the project at a discounted price. From now until February 15 you can sign up for a paid subscription at a discount of 20% by clicking the link below and signing up. Also, if you haven’t seen the STGB Store you should take a look! You can get shirts, hoodies, and mugs (of the color of your choice) which tell the world you are ready to fight for truth, goodness, and beauty! You can even get a sticker for your water bottle, car, or wherever you’d like to display it.
If a paid membership isn’t for you, that’s okay! Your interest and support as a free subscriber is deeply encouraging to me! Thanks for reading, commenting, and sharing with others. God bless you!
