I love reading your enthusiasm and hope for your students! They may not understand it now, they will most definitely appreciate it in the future.

Thanks for sharing your story. I have a few years on you but reading at an earlier age is certainly helpful. And the digital world that we are all a part of with these phones can really creat some set backs if we are not disciplined enough to turn them off or at least adjust our time to developing our minds instead of mindlessly scrolling through the latest shorts.

Quite so. That’s why we don’t allow students to have phones or smart watches in our school.

Thanks Jacob, I appreciate it. I will keep that in mind. I’m trying to grow in many directions as I approach my senior years. Discipline in the right books has always been a challenge for me. I know CS Lewis is a good Author perhaps I should begin there with the abolish of man. Our world is certainly confused regarding our place and meaning in the world today. Shalom brother

C. S. Lewis is an excellent place to dive in. Both his fiction and non-fiction are very worthy of your time!

I just read you bio… it’s very cool what you do and are doing. My wife is a school teacher. We are in Oliver British Columbia. She left the public system years ago and has worked for a Christian online school called Heritage Christian online. I’m a construction guy and have tried to continue with my studies throughput my life. Thank you again for your encouragement to continue to read and learn classic literature. God bless you and your family in Arizona. Shalom brother and Pax Vobiscum

Perfect…that’s a good decision that will benefit everyone. Where is the school? I’m very encouraged by all the new development in Classic Christian education. May you train many new Dragon Slayers.

I myself am deeply grateful for the grace that was shown to me by "older people" when I was in my 20s and freely told people how much I knew. I'm now in my forties and cringe as I remember how I tested the "older people" who were younger than I am now. God often allows me to recall those moments when I am face to face with a 20 something who wants to tell me off.

It’s helpful to remember both positive and negative situations. I got chewed out by a youth leader at a church as a lost 13 treats old when I started cussing outside the church after falling off my skateboard. I will always remember how that felt and how much I hated the idea of going back there. When I later became a youth pastor that experience clung to me and gave me patience with tough kids.

I understand. If ever you happen to be interested in hearing more about following Jesus I’d love to chat with you about it. I’ve also written on here a fair amount about it if you care to check it out. My best to you friend.
