Did you ever start a project and say to yourself, “this will be fun and useful and probably wont take that long”? Well this was fun, and it is sure to be useful to me as a teacher (and I hope to you also), but it definitely took me longer than I expected. It turns out to be fairly complex when trying to determine the equivalent gods among these four cultures. Sure the Greek and the Romans are fairly straightforward but, while there are unmistakeable connections between some of the Greek and Roman gods to the Egyptians and Norse mythologies it is often a less precise (one-to-one) relationship. Below represents my best estimations on the equivalencies. I leaned heavily on Herodotus, as well as the research and work of Roger Lancelyn Green in order to complete this project. I may very well update this in the near future and I welcome your feedback, suggestions, or even corrections if you think I misstepped anywhere.

Egyptian gods Family Tree
This Norse family tree is taken directly from Roger Lancelyn Green’s book, Myths of the Norsemen (Puffin Classics, 2017).
Well done, sir! I wanted to ask about the gods Nihilis and Apathea but I just don't care anymore.
Thank you! I know very little about Norse and Egyptian mythology, so these are helpful resources.
